Lincolnshire has a great affinity to the RAF and we are well placed for visitors wishing to visit the old war time bases as well as today’s modern stations.  RAF Cranwell, Waddington and Coningsby are only a short distance away.  Woodhall Spa where the Dam Busters were based during the last world war has several very interesting sites relating to Dam Buster history.  At East Kirkby there is an aviation museum with a Lancaster bomber.   RAF Coningsby is home to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

Close by in Heckington is the famous eight sailed working windmill.
